Wooden Number Matching Game – 1–10 or 1–20

Make learning numbers hands-on and engaging with this handmade wooden number matching game.

Each number is represented by two wooden discs: one engraved with the numeral and one engraved with the corresponding written number word. Turn either disc over to reveal a matching array of dots showing the same quantity.

Choose a Starter Set covering numbers 1–10 or a Complete Set covering numbers 1–20. Every set comes neatly packed in a reusable cotton drawstring storage bag with a wooden Love to Laser set tag and activity card.

Learning through play

Children can explore each number in three different forms:

• The numeral
• The written number word
• The corresponding quantity shown as an array of dots

The discs can be used for matching, counting, ordering numbers, recognising quantities, comparing numbers and exploring early calculations. The dot arrays for larger numbers also help show teen numbers as ten and some more.

Maths Symbols Expansion Pack

Extend the game with five additional double-sided wooden maths counters. Each disc has an operation word engraved on one side and its matching mathematical symbol on the reverse:

• Add / +
• Subtract / −
• Divide / ÷
• Multiply / ×
• Equals / =

The Maths Symbols Expansion Pack can be added to either the Starter or Complete Set to create simple number sentences and calculation activities.
